Privacy notice
In short: TAAR runs entirely in your browser. Your answers, documents and results are not sent to us or to anyone else, and there is no account. The only information we receive is feedback you choose to email us.
This notice explains how TAAR, operated by TAAR-NRI (“we”), handles information. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
1. Your answers stay on your device
- Everything you enter is processed in your browser. TAAR makes no network requests while you use it: no analytics, tracking, cookies, advertising or third-party fonts or scripts.
- Your case answers are kept in your browser’s session storage for this tab, so a refresh does not lose your work. They are deleted when you close the tab, or straight away when you choose Privacy and clear your data in TAAR.
- Documents you attach are held only while the page is open and are not kept after a refresh.
- Feedback notes you save are kept in your browser’s local storage until you clear them. They contain only the feedback text, its type, the screen name and the TAAR version, never your case answers.
2. Downloads, copies and email drafts
- Reports, briefs, PDFs, calendar files and case files you download are created on your device. You control them, and clearing TAAR does not delete copies you have already saved or sent.
- “Copy” buttons write to your clipboard only when you press them.
- Email buttons open your own email app with a draft. Nothing is sent unless you send it yourself.
3. Feedback you send us
If you email us feedback, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply and to improve TAAR, keep it only as long as needed for that, and do not sell or share it. Please do not include personal tax details you would rather not share.
4. Website hosting
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This happens when the page is loaded and does not include your answers. Cloudflare’s handling is described in its privacy policy.
5. Your choices and rights
- You can clear everything TAAR stores in your browser at any time with Privacy and clear your data, or through your browser’s settings.
- Because we never receive your answers, we hold nothing about your case to access, correct or delete.
- For feedback you have emailed us, you can ask us to access, correct or delete it using the contact below.
6. Children
TAAR is intended for adults dealing with their own or a client’s affairs and is not directed at children.
7. Changes
We will update this notice if TAAR’s handling of information changes, for example if any processing moves to a server. The date at the top shows the latest version.
